[email protected]Getting started
- Which phones does Apex Motion work on?
- On iOS, Apex Motion runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26.4 or later. On Android, it runs on Android phones with Android 10 or later.
- Where is Apex Motion available?
- On the App Store and Google Play. We're rolling out globally, so if it isn't in your country's store yet, it's on its way.
- Do I need an account?
- Not for your free assessment. A free account keeps your history and syncs it across devices. Players under 13 need an account and a parent's approval before their first assessment.
- Who can use Apex Motion?
- Players 13 and older, or 16 and older in the EU and EEA. In the US, players under 13 can sign up with a parent's approval: the app asks for a parent's email, and the account opens once the parent approves it.
Filming your shot
- How should I set up?
- Stand your phone 10–15 ft (3–4.5 m) away on your shooting-hand side, at chest height: a friend, a tripod or a ledge all work. Fit your whole body in frame, head to feet, and shoot from wherever you like. Keep the camera on you; following the ball walks you out of frame.
- How many shots do I take?
- About 10. Recording stops on its own after 90 seconds, which is 9–10 shots in one take. Apex Motion finds and trims each shot for you.
- How long does the analysis take?
- Your report is usually ready in about two minutes.
- I shoot left-handed. Does it work?
- Yes. Set your dominant hand in your profile and stand the camera on your left. Your shot is measured on your shooting side.
- "No shot detected"
- This is usually a framing issue, not a problem with your shot. Check that your whole body stays in frame and that the camera stays on you rather than on the ball, then record again. A recording where no shot is found doesn't use up an assessment.
- Why does Consistency say locked?
- Consistency compares your shots with each other, so it needs 3 or more continuous shots in a single video.
- Can it analyze three-pointers?
- Yes. Shoot from anywhere you like, including the three-point line. Just keep the camera on your shooting-hand side.
Your account
- How do I confirm my email?
- Open the confirmation email on your phone and tap the link. It opens your browser, then takes you back to Apex Motion.
- How do I change my profile or password?
- In the app, go to YOU → Settings → Account → Edit Profile or Change Password.
- How do I delete my account?
- In the app, go to YOU → Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. If you have Premium, cancel it first: it's billed by Apple or Google Play and keeps renewing after the account is deleted.
Privacy and your data
- What happens to my video?
- It is analyzed on our servers and deleted as soon as the analysis finishes; it is never written to long-term storage. The motion data from your analysis is kept so your reports follow your account, and you can erase it in the app at any time.
- How do I erase my data?
- In the app, go to YOU → Settings → Privacy → Delete Contributed Data. Deleting your account also erases everything we store for you.
- Where are the training and analytics switches?
- YOU → Settings → Privacy has the switch for training use and the Share Usage Analytics switch. Each applies from the moment you change it.
- How do I make a privacy request?
- Email [email protected]. The privacy policy explains what we store and why.
Read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.
Your first assessment is free.
